Victor Osimhen's New Contract Set To Get Massive Release Clause
Napoli might have just turned Victor Osinmen to a massive cash-cow and that will be effective from the moment he signs a new deal with the club.
Osimhen had been reluctant to signing new contract with Napoli of which his present contract until summer of 2025, but it surfaced online on Thursday, that the player's representatives have reportedly agreed to go ahead with one-year ontract extension with the Italian giants.
The new deal will extend the previous contract which should be due in 2025 until summer of 2026 and it also comes with a massive release clause that is set at £112m. Having this clause in the deal brings into perspectives Napoli's price tag for Osimhen for a transfer last season amidst interest from their counterparts including Saudi Arabia side, Al Hilal.
Presently, Arsenal and Chelsea are understood to be considering a move for the player, whom they have deemed to be the solution to the shortcoming in their frontline. For Arsenal, the need for the 24-year-old might be necessary to bolster the side in their quest for the Premier League title while Chelsea have not been getting their money's worth from their newly-signed players.
Meanwhile, Osimhen led the Italian to win their first Serie A title in 33 year. He contributed the most goals (26) which was the highest for the league last season. Napoli no doubt are getting value-for-money from the player who was signed for £69.5m from Lille in 2020.
