Premier League: Brighton Claim Sensational Big Win Against Tottenham
Brighton claimed a spectacular 4-2 victory against Tottenham at Amex Stadium and awarded off late comeback from their opponents to make away with the maximum points.
Joao Pedro's delighted leg work across the edge of Spurs'box to pick up Hinselwood to steer the ball home gave the side the opener. The second goal followed from penalty drawn from Kulusevski's handball for Joao Pedro to score from.
After the interval, Brighton's third goal was not short of a delightful finish from 30-yard by Estupinan from Milner's assist, and Joao Pedro, again scored from another penalty to put Brighton in four-goal lead.
Spurs later got fired up as Veliz finished off Heung min Son's pass from inside the box before Davis headed home Porro's cross for the side's second goal.
It was not the best performance that Tottenham would wanted, but for Brighton, that was their eighth Premier League games unbeaten run.
Quick Overview
Incredible football for Brighton for much from the first half. The ball was effectively kept out of Spurs' reach and didn't allow the pacey and offensive football of their London-based counterparts.
The build up to both goal were offshoot of Brighton's composure with the ball and Kulusevski's foul handed out an avoidable penalty for Joao Pedro. Nevertheless, Brighton would have scored more from chances they later had.
Brighton resilience to win saw two more goals added to the scoresheet before Spurs'a late comeback which was yet too late to make up for the deficits after halftime as Brighton seemed really exhausted from the tenacity of the game. The Seagulls really did a great job at out-performing Spurs to win the game.
