Premier League: Bernado Silva's Sensational Lob Seals Big Win For Man. City Against Everton

Manchester City came from behind to claim a big 3-1 win against Everton at Goodison Park in their return to winning form.

Everton took the lead with Jack Harrison tapping home Dwight McNeil's cross in a set piece, and soon after the interval, Phil Foden smashed a 25-yard shot to beat Jodan Pickford and leveled the scores.

Julian Alvarez set City ahead to win, scored the second goal from a penalty drawn from Amadou Onana's handball, then Bernando Silva sealed the victory with a lob into an empty net following a defensive error from Jarrad Branthwaite with four minutes remaining.

As City maintained winning run against Everton in 14 Premier League games, they remain in top-four of the standings with 37 points in their race to defend the title.

Quick Overview

The match was not a match that Everton would have wanted to lose as they continued to fight to stay out of the relegation zone. A draw would have paid off nonetheless, but City were unrelenting and made most of their opponents errors.

A set piece of defensive flop handed out the opener to Everton from a little clumsy handling of the ball by Rodri and McNeil wasted no time to send the ball to Harrison's reach.

With the absence of Erling Halaand, City yet lived up to the task as Alvarez and Silva brought their expertise to the game and ensured they avoided a loss that would have further jeopardised their title race.
