Premier League: Arsenal Keep Atop Of Table After Drawing Against Liverpool

Arsenal have retained the top spot of the EPL standings after drawing 1-1 in a hard-fought match against Liverpool at Anfield.

The visitors took the lead when Gabriel leapt for an aerial ball from Martin Odegaard's free-kick and pound a header past Alison. The scores leveled as Mohamed Salah lashed home Trent Alexander-Arnold's lob from inside the box.

The second half witnessed no goal from sides and the glaring chance for the Reds to take the lead in a counter was wasted by Alexander-Arnold.

Arsenal maintained the lead of the table by just a point ahead of Liverpool as they both are racing to clinch the Premier League title. Arsenal won the silverware for the last time under former manager Arsene Wenger in 2003/04.

Quick Overview

It could not a better finish of the game that was electrifying and pacey for both sides. Liverpool were terrific from the start of the second half but Arsenal kept their composure to stem the tidy. Interestingly, the goal frame was to Arsenal's rescue as a should-be goal attempt from Alexander-Arnold bound off it following a fast break by Salah.

Arsenal had the better side of the first half, though the scores was leveled later on by Salah. The visitors could not enjoy their regular smooth move around of the ball against their energetic and offensive hosts.
