Champions League: PSV Eindhoven Come From Behind To Hold Arsenal To Draw
PSV Eindhoven came from behind to force a 1-1 draw at home against Arsenal to progress to the Last 16 of the Champions League.
Eddie Nketiah put the side in front as Reiss Nelson set him off for a strike, which he completed amidst challenge by smashing the ball just right down bottom left to beat Walter Benitez.
PSV responded with the equalizer in just minutes after halftime with Ricardo Pepi's pass finding Yorbe Verstessen, who steered the ball down bottom left to beat Aaron Ramsdale to the goal.
Arsenal nearly got the winner in with Gabriel's header from Martin Odegaard's cross from a free-kick but the Brazilian defender was caught in offside position by the referee.
From their peviously meetings, PSV had defeated Arsenal twice in three matches.

Great and watchful start from both sides for much of the first half until Arsenal moved in front with a delightful finish from Eddie Nketiah. The build up to the lead goal was well crafted before Reiss Nelson unloaded a through pass to Nketiah for the finish from the front of the goal.
PSV likewise had their moments with Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ricardo Pepi causing a scare as the side hope to catch Arsenal off guard on the counter. Saliba's blockage and Ramsdale's save helped keep Arsenal through in the lead.
The Dutch side eventually caught Arsenal's defense unaware for the equaliser from Vertessen. Hence, there seemed to be a sense of satisfaction with the scores as Arsenal lessened their risk taking on a fask break. The later piece of the half saw greats saves from both goalkeepers.
