Premier League: Alejandro Garnacho's Senational Overhead Kick Sets Off Man. United To Big Win Against Everton

 


Everton lost big time at home to Manchester United by 3-0 in a game that saw a superb finish from Alejandro Garnacho and the victory revamped the Red Devils' hope of making the top four of the table.

Garnacho sent United in the lead with a sensational overhead kick following Diogo Dalot's cross from the right wing, and the aerial ball from kick beat Jordan Pickford to the top corner of the goal. It was just three minutes into the game. 

The second goal followed as Marcus Rashford scored from a penalty drawn from Ashley Young's rough tackle on Anthony Martial, and the Frenchman, Martial added in the third goal as Bruno Fernandes set him off with a through pass that he flicked over to beat onrushing Pickford to the goal. 

However, United needed gradually built up their offensive against Everton that seemed resilient from the start and secured a deserved victory that sent them to sixth of the table. 

Quick Overview

Garnacho's goal came in just right enough and could not have been done better than that as United moved ahead of the first period that turned really hectic afterwards. Everton came out ever strong to find a leveler. 

Luckily enough for United, Kobbie Mainoo's touchline clearance helped keep the lead following Calvert-Lewin's effort forcing a save from Onana, which bounced loosely onto James Garner for a rebound attempt. 

Everton had fairly more chances than United and spurned all of it. Amongst those instances was the glaring chance wasted by Abdoulaye Doucoure from inside the box from Dwight McNeil's cross. at this time of the first period, United were put on their toes as Everton were terrific in search for an equalizer.

Ashley Young sending down Martial earlier into the second half gave away the second goal to United. The foul was avoidable and had already a teammate coming to recover the ball from onrushing Martial. The tackle was caught clearly to be a foul by the VAR. 

United eventually silenced the onslaughts from Everton with the third goal from Martial. By the way, great efforts from Bruno Fernandes through the game. The Portuguese had a hand in the assist to Martial leading up to the penalty, and lastly, the winner was his making.

Even if the hosts would make a comeback that will be a difficult task on their hands. By the look of it at this time of the with 15 minutes remaining, United knewthe game can only go their way and close up on top four with 24 points.
