Lebron James Reaches New Milestone In NBA
Lebron James who has the all-time biggest score in the NBA has become the first player to reach 39,000 points after L. A Lakers defeated Utah Jazz by 133 - 99 to book their place in the in-season tournament quaterfinals.
With 17 points scored during the match, the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player moved up to round-up his career tally at 39,000 and he had already since February past former record-holder Kareem Abdul-Jabbar whose tally is 38,387.
Meanwhile, Anthony Davis contributed the most points during the game with double-double of 26 points, 16 rebounds, and 4 assists while Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves' contributions followed.
"I haven't really had chance to wrap my head around what it means," delightful James said afterwards. "To be able to be the first of anything is always pretty cool. A wild moment, for sure."
Much of the game was dominated by Lakers and both James and Davis were later subbed as they neatly outclassed Jazz. By the fourth quater, Lakers were in the lead by 102 - 75, so having to sub James with less than five minutes remaining could not do any damage to the scores.
