Vinicius Junior Extends Contract With Real Madrid

Vinicius  Jr. has extended his contract with Real Madrid for four years, the day after he received Socrates Award at the Ballon d'Or event. 

"I hope I can continue here for many years, scoring many goals and winning many titles," said Vinicius. 

The Real Madrid forward, 23, was amongst contenders for Ballon d'Or, which Messi won for the eighth times. For being sixth for men's Ballon d'Or, he received the Socrates award for his humanitarian efforts in poor communities in his country, Brazil. 

Vinicius made his Fifa World Cup debut in Qatar in 2022 during which Brazil was eliminated in the quarterfinals. At club level, he has some silverware to his name amongst which is the Champions League and the Spanish LaLiga.
