Premier League: Eddie Nketiah Scores Hat-trick As Sheffield United Fumble At Arsenal's Emirates
Arsenal took a comfortable 5-0 home win against Sheffied United with Eddie Nketiah adding in a hat-trick to the scoresheet.
Somewhat of a cruise through, Arsenal moved ahead as Nketiah scored the opening goal from Declan Rice's assist and he doubled the lead after halftime guiding home a loose ball saved by Wes Fodenringham.
Nketiah completed the hat-trick with an individual effort steering a 20-yard shot to beat Foderingham to the goal. It was just eight minutes between his second and third goal.
Fabio-Viera scored from the penalty drawn by Oliver Norwood to make it fourth and Takehiro Tomiyasu struck home a loose from close range to make it the fifth goal.
Tomiyasu replaced Ben White on his 50th Premier League appearance and the winning goal was his first Arsenal goal.
Sheffield have not won a game so far this season and are at the bottom of the table while Arsenal moved up to second with 24 points behind Tottenham.
Quick Overview
Arsenal deserved the victory and the goal margin said it all about the team. Nketiah had not scored a Premier League goal since August when they drew 2-2 against Fulham, the hat-trick snapped the hiatus.
Bukayo Saka contributed to the build up of both the first and second goal. Gabriel Martinelli was also effectively firing up the team and nearly got his goal.
Mikel Arteta's men remained vibrant at the front and have remained unbeaten this season, keeping them in the title race against Tottenham and title defenders, Manchester City.
