Premier League: Brighton Force Draw Against Liverpool
Liverpool managed 2-2 draw against Brighton despite making a comeback to lead from behind which later slid following Lewis Dunk's late goal.
Simon Adingra put Brighton ahead after on stealing the ball off MacAllister and latched on to hit the ball past Alisson into the goal from the edge of the box. Mo Salah restored Liverpool into the game finishing off Darwin Nunez's pass inside the six-yard box.
The Egyptian forward later added the second goal from a penalty drawn by Szoboszlai on the brink of halftime break. Brighton found their way back into the game and leveled the scores in the second half as Solly March's free-kick found Lewis Dunk for a tap in from close range.
For the first time since April, Salah scored his first away goal and this time, it was a brace that saw Liverpool through a draw at Amex Stadium.
Quick Overview of the Game
Just as Liverpool did in previous five game which they have come from behind to win, they could not live up to that against Brighton at Amex Stadium. Initially, it does not seemed as they were going to make a comeback into the game as brighton hardly allowed them the ball.
Possession wise, the game was split between the two sides, and it began to swing in Brighton's favour after they moved ahead from the errorneous pass between Allison and MacAllister that gave away the ball to Simon Adingra.
As the hosts' compusure began to slide, Liverpool made most of a loose pass from the midfield, a couple of accurate passes ensued, and Nunez made the right decision to have not attempt a shot at the goal but find Salah for easier finish of their efforts. Compsure on Brighton side continued to slide and a penalty ensued from Verbruggen dropping Szoboszlai insie the box.
As it might have seemed that Liverpool can afford an error, brighton's equalizer came off defensive error for letting the ball from March's free-kick swing around and Lewis' foot got to it.
For the most of the game, Brighton let their lead slide against Liverpool that housed terrified strikers like Salah and Darvin Nunez. That was not to mention other players like Luiz Diaz that can spin a surprise. That was not to say that, Liverpool got punished for a late error. In all, fair draw for both sides at Amex Stadium.
