Oppenheimer Gets Release Date For Home Viewers
Oppenheimer is one of the films with huge success so far this year with its gross nearing the billion-dollar benchmark at global box office. After that good run at the cinemas, Universal Pictures is bring the film to homescreen for its viewers and has announced a set date for the release.
As directed by Christopher Nolan, the film centred on an American scientist, J. Robert Oppenheimer who spearheaded the making of the atomic bomb in a Manhattan project. As portrayed by Cilian Murphy, the project which was successful and turned around the country's military might, later became what Oppenheimer was not disposed to because of the devastation its deployment brought.
Universal announced the release with a new trailer in an X (Twitter) update and confirmed the set date to be November 21.
"Oppenheimer is yours to own on 4k, Blu-ray, and Digital November 21. Christopher Nolan's global blockbuster premieres at home with over 3 hours of special features," the update reads.
The film is the third highest grossing film for Universal this year. After three month run at the box office, it global cume stands at $900m, and that has helped pushed the studio's global gross past $4bn.
The said special features, according to Screen Rant is expected to include the making of the film, special moments in Oppenheimer's life and the making of the atomic bomb. Also, in the features is a documentary, "To End All War: Oppenheimer and the Atomic Bomb and panel discussion on Trinity Test anniversary which will include the film director, Christopher Nolan.
