Napoli Open Up On Their Position On Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen might be set to leave Napoli anytime soon following the club president, Aurelio De Laurentiis' statement which hinted at their readiness to listen to offers for the striker.

Amidst rumours of talks over extending his contract beyond 2025, Aurelio's comment on the striker did not indicate any strong desire from the player to remain and he might be set to leave at the price tag of £150m.

In the summer, Osimhen was linked to a Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal for a whopping £154 million offer which Napoli rejected; having contributed 31 goals last season, the striker had just led the side to win their first Serie A title in 33 years. That relationship between the club and the player, apparently has not been the same since the Tik Tok video incident which Aurelio believed was not the case.

"I have never been unhappy with Osimhen. But, there are always two people in these things; I have remained the same, if his mood has changed I can't do anything about it," he said in an interview.

As it is, there has not been any particular clubs so to say strongly linked to the 24-year-old, however, Napoli are yet reportedly in talks with the player over extending his contract.

Aurelio added: "If after handshake things change, it's disappointing, but we take note of it and then life goes on."

The situation is not entirely dire for the player and having to find a club might not really be out of reach with the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool reportedly linked to him. More so, Saudi Arabian club are reportedly nursing interest in the race to sign him in the January transfer window.
