2024 Euro Qualifiers: Harry Kane's Double In Defeat Of Italy Takes England Through

England have sealed their place in the 2024 European Cup after coming from behind to defeat Italy 3-1 to lead Group C with 16 points.

Italy found themselves culpable for many errors that England could not help but finish off and held on to have a comfortable victory.

The visitors goal came off a combination of passes that set off Giancula Scamacca to side-foot home Di Lorenzo's cutback. England later responded from a penalty drawn by Jude Bellingham which Harry Kane scored.

England went ahead in the lead when Marcus Rashford steered home 18-yard shot. Harry, then completed the victory from a loose ball from defensive error that he latched on to and finished off for the side's third goal.

Destiny Udogie, narrowly would have added in a goal for Italy late in the first but Jordan Pickford saved the effort. Rashford for most of the first half was silence, and the Manchester  United forward got fired up in the second half.

Even as Jude did not have a goal, he contributed to the first two goals. He was later substituted for Declan Rice. Philip Foden also would have drawn a penalty soon after halftime break but the referee looked away from tackle.
