Premier League: Martin Odegaard Leads Arsenal To Big Win Against Bournemouth
Arsenal took home a well-deserved away victory off Bournemouth by a huge margin of 4-0 as they continued to push close to the table top by just a point.
Bournemouth conceded the first goal from Bukayo Saka's header and Martin Odegaard scored the second from the spot-kick drawn by Eddie Nketiah.
The visiting side moved three goals clear as Ryan Christie's tackle on Odegaard drew another penalty which he scored. Ben White later in injury scored the fourth nodding in Odegaard's free-kick.
Having lost the match, Bournemouth's losing run got extended to 11th league game. Meanwhile, Arsenal have not lost a game in all competitions since the start of the season.
Quick Run through the game
An interesting game with Arsenal having a hold of the it and with a combination of efforts initiated by Odegaard, they took the lead.
Saka made the opening goal his fifth of the season. He well anticipated Gabriel Jesus' header might drop off the woodwork to his path. Likewise, Odegaard well attempted the spot-kick for his second of the season.
Arsenal seemingly were overwhelming for the hosts whose defense was to blame for goals. From poor tackles in the box to letting their opponents almost unmarked for a header.
It was not the best of defence to hold off Arsenal. The two penalties could not be less convincing. James Aarons' tackles on Nketiah in the last stages of the second half got the referee's ruling without having to need the VAR. Likewise Christie's tackle on Odegaard was glaring.
