Premier League: Anthony Elanga Sees Off Nott. Forest To Away Victory Against Chelsea

Nottingham Forest put up a strong defensive play to earn their second leage game win of the start to the season at Stanford Bridge in a 1-0 win against Chelsea.

Disappointing as it was, Blues lost the first home game to their opponents in three decades as they struggled to find their winning streak.

Forest left it until after halftime to take the lead, that however, came in soon after the break, as Taiwo Awoniyi latched onto a loose ball from Moises Caicedo  and Gallagher's error in the midfield and let a pass to Anthony Elanga who struck the ball home past Robert Sanchez.

Chelsea later played the rest of the game struggling to find an equalizer that eluded the side. Forest went away with one of their most important victories and their second victory so far this season.

Quick Highlights of the Game

Forest came into the game with a similar tactic to last weekend's and Chelsea seemed as though they were hungry for some goals which did not happen throughout the first half.

A couple of chances from Nicolas Jackson but he appeared to be still rusty in his finishing and Forest carefully had in contained with little free space in the box.

A period of panic cause Chelsea too much, when Caicedo and Gallagher's error from a collision in the midfield set off an experienced attacker like Awoniyi, who maximized the chance by letting Elanga finish off the ball.

Both Jackson and Enzo Fernandez still found making a productive attack difficult as they struggled to get goals of the scoresheet even though the former had his first league goal for the side against Luton last weekend.
