Manchester City Finalise On Their Target, Matheus Nunez
Manchester City have completed the signing of Matheus Nunez from Wolverhampton in a contract £53million.
City reached an agreement for the player's signing after they had first verbally agreed with the club. Mind you, the player was also forcing his way out of Wolves as he was understood to have refused training with his teammates.
With Kevin de Bruyne ruled out until next year injury, getting to find a midfielder to fill the gaps is necessary for Pep Guardiola. So, soon after the Belgian suffered injury, City had been keen on Nunez.
The move puts Wolves in profit for a midfielder whom they signed for £42.2million from Sporting last season. The payment plan was into two splits: an initial fee of £38m and the remainder of £4.2 will be in add-ons.
As part of the deal for Nunez's transfer to City, Tommy Doyle will be heading the other way to Wolves on a season lone with a buyout option of £4.3m.
