Everton Set For Takeover By New Owners
Everton FC soon will be under a new management following the agreement between the club owner, Farhad Moshiri and an American investment fund named, 777 Partners for 96% takeover of the club ownership.
The club presently is having a slow start to the season with a point earned from four opening games and are gearing up to face Arsenal this weekend. Meanwhile, Moshiri who invested into the club in 2016, in his statement, explained how factors surrounding club ownership have changed recently.
"The nature of ownership and financing of top football clubs has changed immeasurably," said Moshiri.
Everton, last season, snapped Arsenal's unbeaten run of 14 consecutive league games and that kicked off an end to Gunners title race against Manchester City as they later finished second.
"There is no impact on me at the moment or the players," said the club manager, Sean Dyche. "I was aware something may be happening."
The takeover is reportedly set to take an effect by the end of the year and is also subject to the approval of the Premier League and also the Financial Conduct Authority.
