West Ham United Complete Signing Of Greek Player, Konstantinos Mavropanos
West Ham United have signed a new defender, Konstantinos Mavropanos from the Bundesliga side, Stuttgart to further bolster their defense.
So far, Hammers have kept an unbeaten start to the season and most impressive of their two opening games was the 3-1 home defeat of Chelsea over the weekend.
Konstantinos was signed to a five-year contract worth £17m plus add-ons of £2m. This is coming amidst the club's relinquished interest in Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire despite having agreed a £30m deal with United.
The Greek player will be the third signing for the London-based club after Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse who was instrumental to the side's 3-1 home victory against Chelsea.
Furthermore, Hammers are also working towards the signing of Ajax's midfielder, Mohamed Kudus whose bid is currently considered "faltering" as the Dutch side is yet to respond adequately to £36m (€41m) deal offer from West Ham.
