Premier League: Manchester United Escape Home Scare From 10-Man Nott. Forest

Manchester United escaped a home scared from 10-man Nottingham Forest to win 3-2 is Christian Eriksen got their first goal in to be on the score sheet.

Taiwo Awoniyi got the first goal in for Forest and Willy Boly's header doubled  the lead there on. An impressive start from Forest but United pulled on back sooner from Eriksen's strike.

United leveled the scores earlier into the second half and Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty to give United the victory.

 Quick Run Through the Game

A slow start from United and they soon trailed behind their opponents as Forest quickly went in the lead within a space of two minutes .

Awoniyi produced a brilliant run from the fast break let him by Gibbs-White's pass as he latched on with the ball and even shrugged off Rashford before taking a strike from inside the box.

United have been caught off guard and whilst they might have expected things to get better Boly guided a header from close range to beat Onana following a free-kick. Both goals were two minutes apart within four minutes into the game.

By the look of it, Forest got United in check and maximised their chances. The hosts frustration compounded until Rashford cut deep into the Forest's box and cross the ball onto Eriksen for a strike. United pulled one back and they seemed to be back into the game this time.

United compensated for the slow start after halftime with two goals and took the lead to win the game. Forest, however, remained in top spirit through the game.

Casimero's equalizer came just in time to revamp United but the penalty awarded for Danilo's clash with Rashford in the box settled the game for hosts as Fernandes scored from the spot-kick.

In overall, United played really well but Forest were not bad at all even at the loss of the game which could have drawn if not for Joe Worral's red card that reduced the side to 10-man for most of the second half.
