Premier League: Luton Stand No Chance Against Chelsea
Chelsea have their first win on a clean sheet after defeating newly promoted side, Luton 3-0 at Stanford Bridge.
Raheem Sterling put Chelsea ahead scoring the opening goal from an individual effort and doubled the lead after halftime tapping home Malo Gusto's cross.
Nicolas Jackson, after a couple of misses, eventually got one in poking in Sterling's cross for the third goal with 15 minutes remaining.
Luton did not stand that much of a chance with Chelsea who were in dire need of winning the game and well-deserved to have won.
Quick Run Through The Game.
Sterling opened his scoring sheet for the season with two goals while Jackson's must be consolating and sigh of relief to have scored his first goal for Chelsea being a newly-signed striker. At least, they are now getting their money's worth.
Jackson have had a hard time finding his first goal from previous two games, both of which did not end favourably for the side. However, it appeared the Brazilian is beginning to find his place in the team and this might boost his confidence at the front.
Sterling has always been spectacular and his first goal was but a show of brilliant having to dribble through Luton's defence before making the right attack at the goal. It was spectacular.
Earlier before the second goal, Ben Chilwell should have put one in instead of having to find Sterling with a pass whilst he was in front of the goal and should have made an attempt nonetheless. Minutes later, Sterling wasted no time tapping home Mal Gusto's cross for the second goal.
