Burna Boy Comes Under Heavy Criticism From An Actor
Burna Boy is a sensational singer, no doubt. It yet seemed as if there are some who have not really fancied him that seriously. For what reason could that be? Well, you will find out by the end of this publication. However, you do not have to buy into the submission.
Apparently, it is a well known Nigerian actor, Patrick Doyle who is the in the middle of the subject and instead of applauding the singer for his craft, he believes he owns his successes to pioneers of the Nigerian music industry, and his peers, he would not accord them the necessary credits they deserve.
Doyle in his Facebook update mentioned that the likes of King Sunny Ade, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, I. K Dairo and Majek Fashek deserve praise from the industry youngsters as they "created the pathways" for them to thrive.
He wrote: "The credit for the feats that appear to be puffing the likes of Burna Boy up have to be properly ascribed to the greats who cleared the thorny paths that have created the pathways for his likes to walk through practically effortlessly."
Recently, the Twice As Tall coroner stirred up controversy over a statement owe to him that only few Nigerian artists - this time he meant the youngsters - have "substance" in their songs. He was criticised by many for his remark on his colleagues and for some supposedly his fans, he was spot on.
Doyle, 62, wrapping up his remark wrote: "Greatness and great feats don't exist in vacuum. Let us not contribute to the creation of an arrogant and obnoxious monster."
Burna Boy is a multiple award-winning artist including Grammy and has seven studio albums released since his career commenced.
