Chelsea's Interest In Victor Osimhen Suffers Setback And Juventus Want Swap Deal To Resign Romelu Lukaku
Chelsea are having difficult times resolving on where to go on signing an amazing striker as Romelu Lukaku wants out to Juventus, and one of their targets, Victor Osimhen is being approached by a Saudi Arabia side, Al-Hilal.
For Juve to resign the forward, who had spent a season loan at the club, Chelsea is demand a fee of £40m, as reported by Football Transfer. The serie A club is considering a swap with Dusan Vlahovic instead. In this case, since Vlahovic is considered to be of higher value than Lukaku, Chelsea will have to pay some fees to Juve to facilitate the swap deal.
However, should Chelsea choose to look else where, their interest in Osimhen is suffering a huge setback with the Saudi side, Al-Hilal sticking up £120m in fee and the Nigerian is set to earn as much a £1m-a-week from the deal according to Sky Sports. Even at that fee, his club Napoli has reportedly rejected the offer and are asking for more. They wanted £128.8m instead for the deal to go ahead.
On the other hand, Osimhen has not shown interest in extending his contract with italian side either. He also wanted out but Napoli are making huge demands for their top scorer.
Meanwhile, Osimhen is not only link to Chelsea alone, top European clubs like Manchester United, Bayern Munich and even Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly showing interest in the 24-year-old.
At this point, there seemed to be a tough choice for Chelsea since Lukalu might not really have a future with the club under Mauricio Pocchettino. Between the two players, to rival Al-Hilal offer will be inconceivable for Chelsea, whereas, swapping with Lukaku with Vlahovic can be an option.
