Spanish Grand Prix: Lewis Hamilton, George Russell Make Podium As Max Verstappen Wins
Max Verstappen lived up to his pole start and controlled the race through the laps to finish quickest in first for Red Bull at the Spanish Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate, George Russell had an impressive race on their upgraded cars in Barcelona as the former finished second and the latter improved nine places to finish third.
Without a doubt, Mercedes were better off in their upgraded cars and that showed from the start as Hamilton quickly improved to third. However, he was no where near Verstappen for a showdown. Red Bull yet have the advantage on the straight and pace.
Ferrari's Carlos Sainz was poling in second behind Verstappen from the start but could not hold off the Silver Arrow duo who sped by him, and with 12 laps remaining, lost the dropped to fifth as Red Bull's Sergio Perez moved ahead of him.
