Karim Benzema Leaves Real Madrid, Links With Saudi Side, Al lttihad
Karim Benzema has ended his stint at Real Madrid and the club has released a statement via its official website confirming the development.
The French international ended his 14-year spell on Sunday and reportedly has been linked to a Saudi side, Al lttihad in summer transfer window.
"Real Madrid Football Club and our captain Karim Benzema have agreed to bring his brilliant and unforgettable time as a player at our club to a close," the club confirmed.
Karim, with 25 trophies won in his spell at the club, could not ask for more. He is currently the UEFA Player of the year and also the Ballon d'Or holder. During his spell at Los Blancos, he made a whopping 647 appearances, and on top of that, scored record 353 goals which is the club's second highest.
Now that he is a free agent, he is open to join the Saudi side and according to Reuters, the club has agreed to a two-year deal with the 35-year-old. A Saudi television Al Ekhabariya garnered the club owners a considering a record deal with the player.
