Kalidou Koulibaly Leaves Chelsea To Join Saudi Side, Al-Hilal

Chelsea will be losing yet another player in this transfer, and this time it is Kalidou Koulibaly who has completed his transfer to the Saudi Pro League.

The fee involved in the deal is unspecified but the Sengalese defender has completed his transfer to Al-Hilal anyhow despite having three-year left in his contract with Chelsea.

Koulibaly was signed to Chelsea last summer on the backdrop of his impressive performance at Napoli which he led to win the Italian Serie A in 2020. On top of that, himself alongside former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, led Senegal to win the African Cup of Nations in 2022.

Announcing his departure from Stanford Bridge, the defender tweeted about his disappointment in how he and the team performed last season. Nevertheless, wearing the club shirt was a thing he admitted he will always admire.

"From my first game to my last, it was an honour to wear this badge," he tweeted. "My last season wasn't the one we wanted."

Another Saudi side Al-ittihad had just agreed a deal with Blues midfielder, N'Golo Conte as waves of players leaving the Premier League for the Saudi Pro League continues to spike.
