Kai Havertz Joins Arsenal As Club Agree Deal With West Ham For Declan Rice
Arsenal have completed the transfer of Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a long-term deal that is expected to worth £65m.
Speaking of Kai's signing, Sporting director, Edu described the player as "an exciting addition" to team who has the potential of adding "great attacking quality and versatility" to the squad.
As the club will be making their first UEFA Champions League appearance since 2006, Mikel Arteta is shoring up the team for the challenges ahead. The newly-signed player is set to be joined with Declan Rice as Arsenal are in advanve talks with West Ham.
After a series of bidding from Arsenal, Hammers reportedly have finally agreed to a deal worth £105m for Declan Rice transfer.
Arsenal previous rejected offer stood at £100m but they later found the way to Hammers with inclusion of £5m bonus to the deal. Payment of the fee will reportedly be spread over a period of four years.
The contract is set to upset the previous record for most expensive British player of £100m held by Manchester City's Jack Grealish and the deal is understood reached advanced stage only that both sides are looking into details of terms of contract.
Arsenal manager, Arteta narrowly missed lifting the Premier League trophy to Manchester City last season, and in gearing up for next season, he appears not to be taking chances as he also has in the line up for transfer Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
