Chelsea Reject Manchester United's Third £55M Bid For Mason Mount

 


Chelsea have thrown out a third bid from Manchester United for attacking midfielder, Mason Mount by countering the offer with their own terms. 

United presented an improved third offer of £55m for the player but Blues are understood to be considering a much bigger bid reportedly of about £65m for him. Mason, on his own, his keen on leaving and has a season left on his contract. 

Blues new owners are letting go of most players to trim their team size after a disappointing campaign that saw series of managers being replaced. 

All hopes are not lost for United as it is garnered that Chelsea are willing to meet with United's representatives on the bid for Mason. They are even understood to be willing to consider £7m add-ons on top of the £55m to make it acceptable according to Sky Sports

Mason will join the Kai Havertz on Chelsea exist should a deal be agreed to. Havertz is set to join Arsenal with which he has agreed on personal terms for his transfer in this window.
