Chelsea Agree Deal With Manchester United For Mason Mount
Mason Mount is close in on transfer to Manchester United after a deal is agreed to with Chelsea for his move this summer.
As the forward has a season left in his contract with Chelsea, the club would rather sell than let him leave as a free agent. Mason on his part is not willing to extend his contract as attempts to get him to renew reportedly were unsuccessful.
After three previous bids for Mason failed, the club in the end agreed with United to contract understandably to worth £55million with add-ons set for £5million.
Chelsea may not really be impacted badly by the Mount's transfer as they have already signed a new striker from RB Leipzig, Christopher Nkunku. The signing happened to be their first under Mauricio Pocchettino.
Nkunku was signed to a long-term contract of six year that is worth £53million. The player had done is medical since December after a pre-contract agreement was reached.
United manager Erik ten Hag would be lead the team to the Champions League next season after finishing n third of the EPL table. Though, he has players like Marcus Rashford locked down he yet reportedly sees the need to boost his attack ahead of the campaign.
