Champions League: 10-man Manchester City Beat Inter Milan To Win Trophy
Manchester City are the Champions of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League and it is the club's first ever trophy in a European games title since 1969/70 Club Winners' Cup - the competition does not exist anymore.
10-man City defiled the odds of losing their key attacking midfielder, Kevin de Bruyne in the first half and compensated that with Rodri's goal in the second half to defeat Inter Milan by 1-0.
City seized a fast break inspired by Manuel Akanji with a through ball to Bernando Silva inside the area and he let a cut-back pass to Rodri, who steered a right-foot shot home from inside the box in the 68th minute.
Inter nearly leveled the scores as Romelu Lukaku forced a brilliant toughline save from Ederson with a header late in the game.
As Inter could not undo the deficit despite having the advantage to have done that since Kevin's removal, City finished the game with their first Chahmpions League victory.
Pep Guardiola finished the season with his first Champions League since leaving Barcelona and a treble for the club - 2022/23 Premier League and the FA Cup.
