Arsenal Agree Deal With Chelsea For Kai Havertz
Kai Havertz is set to leave Stanford Bridge this summer and Chelsea have agreed to a deal with Arsenal for his transfer.
Arsenal are spending big on the attacking midfielder in a deal that is reportedly worth £65m that also comes with add-ons. As the club will be participating in the Champions League next season revamping the team might be of priority to Mikel Arteta.
Havertz have not done his medical with Arsenal but he reportedly has agreed on personal terms with the club on the transfer.
Though, the transfer fee is lesser than the amount paid (£71m) to sign him from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020, Chelsea new owners could not afford not to as they are reportedly considering to reduce the team size - they had slow performance last season despite spending big to get their players.
On the other part, Arsenal narrowly missed out on finishing atop the league to Manchester City, and even at that, they earned a slot for a Champions League appearance - the last time they participated in the competition was under former manager, Arsene Wenger in 2006.
