Premier League: Man City Keep Atop Table After Leeds' Loss
Manchester City remained atop the league and with 2-1 win against Leeds United they have stayed clear nearest team by four points.
Leeds, who are on the brink of relegation should have conceded defeat by wider margin as City apparently dominated the game until later stages when Leeds narrowed the lead.
Ilkay Gundogan put City ahead in the first half, curling the ball past Joel Robles twice from nearly the same position and on both occasions with Riyad Mahrez's cross as City led by two.
City missed the chance of going three goals clear as Gundogan missed a penalty drawn by Phil Foden, and just Leeds pulled one back as Rodrigo volleyed home Manuel Akanji's cross with five minutes remaining.
Leeds are now clinging in the 16th position on 30 points to avoid falling into the redline as City are edging closer to winning their seventh Premier League title since 2011 and their eighth overall.
