Premier League: Chelsea Lose As Arsenal Keep Slim Title Hope Alive
As Premier League title race continued to seem dicey, Arsenal are keeping their slim hope on the high after beating Chelsea 3-1 at Emirates Stadium to stay unpromised atop the league on just two points ahead of closest team, Manchester City.
On the other hand, Chelsea have no title hope ahead of them neither is snapping their winless run in view as Martin Odegaard scored twice from the same position in the box to seal Blues' fourth defeat in a row..
Odegaard smashed a curly shot passed Kepa Arrizabalaga from Gabriel Jesus' cross to put Arsenal ahead, and again on half hour, he steered home the second goal from Granit Xhaka's cross.
Bad as that may seemed, Arsenal went three goals clear four minutes later as Jesus smashed home a loose ball from close following a rowdy situation in the box. Chelsea eventually pull one back after halftime as Mateo Kovacic's cross picked out Noni Madueke and he lashed the ball passed Aaron Ramsdale for the side's only goal.
Arsenal finished the game for first win after four consecutive winless games including their 4-1 loss to Manchester City. Meanwhile, Chelsea's dilemma persisted as they barely caused a scare that much as against their hosts who had multiple chances and were blunt on the attack.
