Erling Haaland Crowned Premier Player of the Season

Erling Haaland has been announced the Premier League player of the season in his debut at Manchester City, who are also the season's champions.

The Norwegian has contributed a whopping 36 goals in all 35 league games and that was enough to break 29-year record set for most goals in a single Premier League season preciously set by Andy Cole at Newcastle United in 1993/94.

"Everyone at Manchester City is delighted for Erling," City wrote in statement on their official website. "And would like to send our congratulations on another well-deserved accolade."

Amongst players that contended for the prestigious award was Kevin de Bruyne (Man. City), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Marcus Rashford (Man. United), Harry Kane (Tottenham), and Kieran  Trippier (Newcastle).

City finished the season as the Champions for the third time in a row and their sixth under Pep Guardiola. They are also in the final of the UEFA Champions League and they will play against Inter Milan in Istanbul on 10, June.
