Chelsea Agree Terms With Mauricio Pocchettino To Assume Duty In Summer
Chelsea will welcome a new manager in summer and that will be former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pocchettino, after both parties agreed to contract terms.
Pocchettino has been out of jobs since last summer when he was replaced at Paris Saint-Germain by Christophe Galtier - a job he landed after nearly a season out of management after being replaced at Tottenham by Jose Mourinho in 2019.
The agreement will see an end to Frank Lampard's stint as an interim manager at Chelsea that are currently having a string of winless run and are set to finish the season in the middle of the table.
Lampard is not leaving Stanford Bridge immediately upon the club's agreement with Pocchettino but he will reportedly continue in his role until the end of the season.
Pocchettino in the summer will mark his return to the Premier League after four seasons and his first job after a full season without one. During his spell at PSG, he won the Ligue title and Coupe de France before he was sacked the year after.
