Champions League: Inter Take Advantage Over Milan In Semis First-leg Tie
Inter Milan wasted no time to get a hold of the advantage by defeating AC Milan 2-0 in the Champions League semis first-leg tie.
Inter surged ahead in the early minutes of the first half as Edin Dzeko volleyed in the opening goal following a corner and Lautaro Martinez side-footed a pass that set off Henrikh Mikhitaryan to drilled a shot from inside the box past Mike Maignam for the second goal.
Hakan Calhanoglu nearly delivered the third goal for Inter four minutes later but his 30-yard shot beat Maignam to strick the woodwork.
Milan watched their opponents netted twice within a space of five and very early into the game. They did not stop at that, Martinez nearly drew a penalty for side but VAR ruled that off. Inter made of their chances from first half compared to Milan.
Inter going two goals clear in the 11th minutes is the fourth quickest recorded in the Champions League semi-finals and they have also defeated their neighbours, Milan three times in a competition for their first since 1994-95.
