Premier League: Huge Title Race Setback For Arsenal After Losing To West Ham
Apparently, Arsenal now have load of works on their hands to defend their position in the table following their 2-2 draw against West Ham as the title race gets heated up with four points clear nearest rivals, Manchester City.
It could not be more disappointing for Arsenal to watch their two-goal lead earlier into the game washed away as West Hammer came from behind to force a draw after Bukayo Saka wasted a spot-kick and all effort for a resurgence failed to yield.
Within a space of three minutes, Arsenal had scored two goals to take the lead. Gabriel Jesus tapped home Ben White's cross from inside the area and Gabriel Martinelli's cross set off Martin Odegaard for a header for the second goal.
The ruin began to set in when Partey drew a penalty and Said Benrahma converted the spot-kick. Thilo kehrer's lofted pass found Jarrow Bawon in the box for the finish for the second goal shortly after the halftime break.
Unfortuately, the few chances later came Arsenal's way later into the game but were missed by Gabriel Jesus ,who could not connect his touch to Kieran Tierney's cross. Another was Rob Holding's header forcing Lukasc Fabianski's save.
Arsenal would need to regain their winning form to hold off Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title.
