Premier League: Chelsea Situation Unchanged After Goalless Draw With Liverpool

Chelsea's winless run remained unchanged as they were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool at Stanford Bridge despite having the control of the game for most of the time.

Apparently, the change of managers from Graham Potter to Bruno Saltor, who takes over for the rest of the season did not yield a new start of forms and Chelsea are yet unable to convert scoring chances even at close ranges.

However, they also seemed to be the unlucky side as they had two goals ruled out by VAR. Early into the game, after Allison saved Kai Havertz's shot on one-on-one, Reece James lashed home a loose clearance following a corner but Enzo Fernandez had tounced the ball whilst in offside position.

Another occassion arose when N'Golo Kante set off a fastbreak and Havert latched onto the ball and deflected into the net a poor parry of his shot from oncoming Allison. For the second time, the goal was ruled out as the German forward deflected the ball in with his arm.

There were a lot of chances created on the counter-attack by Chelsea and Allsion was the strong brickwall for the hosts to break. With the game finishing goalless, both sides have now played goalless draws in their last four games.
