FA Cup: Manchester United Set Up Final Against Man. City

Manchester United are finally through to the FA Cup final having defeated Brighton 7-6 on penalties after they had played goalless through both halves of the semi-final.

United had just got eliminated from the Europa League by Sevilla on Thursday, getting to reach FA Cup is a relive for the team manager Erik ten Hag on his bid for his second silverware this season.

Mid-way of extra-time, Marcus Rashford was near getting United a deciding goal but was denied by goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. The victory was later decided on shoot-outs when United's Victor Lindelof converted the deciding penalty after Brighton's Solly March missed his.

Tough as it may have seemed, setting up FA Cup final against Manchester City came handy for United as they had won the Carabao League Cup in February, which is their first time reaching both finals in a single season since 1993-94.

City reached the final after defeating Sheffield United 3-0 at Etihad stadium on Saturday during which Riyad Mahrez scored a hat-trick. City is the first team to have reached the FA Cup final without conceding a goal since Everton in 1965/66.
