Europa League: Sevilla Humiliate Out Man. United
Manchester United had a disappointing trip to Sevilla and it was really bad. They are now out of the Europa League and not in a graceful manner.
Sevilla conveniently thrashed United 3-0 (Aggr. 5-2) in the quarterfinals second leg tie that was smeared with colossal defensive errors. A loss could not have been lesser what they would get from the Spaniards.
Youssef En-Nesyri could not go wrong with scoring twice by capitalising of errors from both Harry Maguire and David de Gea in both halves.
The opening goal of a making of Maguire gifting away a scoring chance for poor clearance of David's pass which Youssef wasted no time to slice in the ball putting Sevilla in the lead.
Instead of it getting better, Sevilla added in the second goal from Loic Bade's glancing header following a corner, and that was moments after Lucas Ocampos was denied a goal by VAR.
United eventually conceded a decider as David de Gea's poorly cleared ball got to Youssef and he lobbed into the goal for the third. In fact, three goals witnessed during the game were out of United's errors and Sevilla made something out of them.
Sevilla remained a huge stopper for United in Europa League knockouts as the defeat was the Premier League side's third - the previous was 2019-2020.
