Champions League: Chelsea Are Out As Real Madrid Go Through
Unfortunately for Chelsea, they are out of the Champions League. Real Madrid were just the better side to make it through to the semi-finals having won both ties of the quarterfinals to win 2-0 (aggr. 4-0).
When it comes to finishing off chances, Chelsea are not very blunt and needed to improve on attack compared to Real, having the right combination of Karim Benzema, Vinicius, and Rodrygo borrowing from every corner to get the goals.
Rodrygo scored both goals for Real in the second half with assists from Vinicius and Federico Valverde respectively. The goal margin could have been wider if not for brilliant saves from Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Getting to end winless run apparently is not in view yet for Chelsea who have lost four successive game in all competitions. They are in such a predicament that they yet to find that spark for neither goalscoring nor winning.
On the other hand, Real have now reached the semi-finals for the 11th time in the last 13 seasons as they bid to defend the title for yet another season.
