Champions League: Bayern In Desperate Situation After Big Loss To Man. City
Bayern Munich will have a lot work to do to get past quarterfinal as they are in huge deficit for losing 3-0 to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in the first-leg tie.
City were all over the place and could have made the situation even worse for Bayern but Yann Sommer man the goal strongly, and made some wonderful saved to keep the side in the game.
The German conceded the first goal from Rodri's curly shot from the edge of the box in the first half and Erling Haaland's cross set off Bernando Silva for a header that beat Sommer to the goal for the second goal.
At this point, City were in high spirit and another situation arose six minutes later, when Julian Alvarez's cross found John Stones for a header pass to Haaland, who finished the ball down bottom right for the third goal.
Sommer did a great deal of job for Munich whose defense handed off the chance for the second goal following a defensive flop from Dayot Upamecano. Over all, City were the better side in this game.
Rodri's goal was his first in the Champions League for City, and Haaland, having scored the third goal, brought his career goal tally in the competition to its 35th.
