Bayern Suspends Sadio Mane Over Rift With Leroy Sane
Sadio Mane is not going to be "included in the FC Bayern Munich squad" for their weekend fixture against Hoffenheim, the club confirmed following his suspension for having an altercation with a team-mate, Leroy Sane.
The news reportedly broke that Mane punched his Leroy in the face in the changing room after the team lost 3-0 to Manchester City in their Champions Leage game on Tuesday.
It was understood according reports that the two players had to be separated by their team-mates after Mane motivated the breakdown of peace and he risks being fined by the club.
"This is due to his misconduct after Bayern's Champions League match at Manchester City. Mane will be given a fine," the club affirmed.
Mane came in as sub for Jamal Musiala in the 69th minute and shortly after that, City added in two more goals within a space of six minutes to win the quarter-final first-leg tie by 3-0.
The Senegalese forward has scored in the competition but has scored six goals in seven appearances in the league so far this season. He joined the side last summer from Liverpool to replace Robert Lewandowski, who left to join Barcelona.
