Producer Hopes To Re-cast Johnny Depp In Pirates of the Carribean
There seemed to be something on the horizon for Johnny Depp and he is already getting fair remarks from the producer of Pirates of the Carribean in which he was dropped from his role as Jack Sparrow following the accusation of his abuse of his estrange wife, Amber Heard.
Apparently, public perceptions of Johnny are beginning to change after winning the libel case and, upon that, the film's producer Jerry Bruckheimer in his discusion with Deadline seemed to hope to return him as Jack Sparrow.
"He's just so good at what he does and actors recover from things like this," Jerry recalled the libel case that got Johnny canceled from the franchise. "He's a good individual and he's a caring individual. He's somebody that you can rely on and he's just terrific."
Though, it does not seem as Jerry will be working with Johnny any time soon since he did not mention any project to put him on. But, what is obvious is that the artist remains one artist he hopes to work with once again should Disney resolve their stance on him after being dropped for the accusation of abuse of his ex-wife.
He continued: "I think Johnny is an utter friend and an amazing artist and, again, you go through things in life you wish you hadn't, but he's still a talented artist."
The couple were able to resolve their suit at Magistrate Court, London by reaching a settlement agreement of £1m last year. Nevertheless, Johnny's circumstance with Disney remained unchanged.
The artist had previously said that the studio would have to kill Jack Sparrow in the film should he return for sixth and final instalment. That, Jerry once told Hollywood Reporters is not possible.
