Premier League: Arsenal Leave It Really Late To Bear Bournemouth
Arsenal left it dangerously late to come out with a dramatic 3-2 against Bournemouth as they recovered from two goals deficit and netted the winning from Reiss Nelson's long range effort dead in the injury time.
The hosts needed the win to go clear Manchester City and it didn't appear to be going their way when Bournemouth went ahead in the first minute from Philip's Billing's strike and, soon after the break, Marco's Senesi's header put the side two goals ahead.
Thomas Partey pull one back and, eight minutes later, Ben White leveled the scores for Arsenal in the 70th minutes. At this time, expectations were high for the deciding goal and that did not happen until seven minutes late into injury time when Billing slammed a 25-yard shot home.
It was a satisfying sigh of relief for Arsenal to maintain their table lead and the Nelson's goal was his first since Nov. 12, 2022 when he made his debut with the club. They player was all over the place until he got the goal needed for Arsenal.
