Crystal Palace Appoint Roy Hodgson As New Manager

Roy Hodson has been named as the new head coach of Crystal Palace after the sacking of former manager Patrick Vieira over the club's performance in the Premier League.

Vieira was dismissed after the club's long winless run of 12 games. The situation is dare for the side that they are 12th in the table and are only three points away from relegation zone.

"It is a privilege to be asked to return to the club, which has always meant so much to me. Our sole objective now is to start winning matches, and get the points necessary," said Hodgson.

Hodgson was sacked and replace by Vieira in July 2021. The former manager, who was also former Arsenal player fared well in his debut season with club. In last summer, Vieira spent over £40m and amongst players he signed was Cheick Doucore from Lens and Chris Richards from Bayern Munich.
