Champions League: RB Leipzig Suffer Disgraceful loss To Man. City

Manchester City are through to the qusrter-finals as RB Leipzig suffered heavy 7-0 (Aggr. 8-1) loss, more than they could have expected to at Etihad stadium with Erling Haaland scoring five goals.

It could not be less than a shameful loss for the Germans as they repeatedly continued to concede goal after the refereee awarded a penalty against them which Erling converted in the 22nd minute and doubled by the forward minutes later. The rest of the game witnessed three more goals from Erling.

The remaining two gaols came from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne both in the second half but Gundogan's was soon after the break after Erling had scored his third.

The German were far from what they were from the first-leg tie and the game ended as the biggest win in the Champions League for City equalling their previous record set against Schalke in 2019.

Erling was terrific at scoring and Leipzig could not help stopping the Norweigian who scored his 32nd in the Champions League goals and his also set new record for City's most goals in a season with 39th goal in 36 matches in all competitions.
