Champions League: Bayern Edge PSG To Reach Quarter-finals

Paris Saint-Germains have been edged out of the UEFA Champions League by Bayern Munich in a thrilling 2-0 defeat in a match that witnessed stunting goal chances slid. Bayern progressed to the quarter-final on aggregate of 3-0 having won both legs of the Round of 16.

Bayern punished their opponents' for repeatedly making expenssive errors whilst they had the most chances in the first half but just could not get ahead. Eric Maxim Choupo was left unmarked in the box when he struck in the opening goal on the hour.

The German side added in the second goal later on but this time, it came off a fast break from Cancelo who let a through pass to Serge Gnarby for the finish from inside the box.

Sadio Mane also added in his goal but was caught in offside position. Meanwhile, PSG stood the chance of making most of the game when Yann Sommer's floppy ball dribble almost got the side in a mess late into the first half.

That, in the end, did not matter as they ousted out the Ligue 1 side who have now been eliminated at this stage for the fifth time in seven previous campaign.
