Tom Brady Retires From NFL After 23 Years
NFL star, Tom Brady has brought his 23-year-long playing career to a close as he announced his retirement from the sport in a video update that surfaced online.
After leading New England Patriot to win their sixth Super Bowl title in 2019, the quarterback moved to Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he led the side in 2021 to win their first Super Bowl title in 18 years - He led the side to beat Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.
In an Instagram post, he said: "I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first."
The statement was coming as the 45-year-old's second retirement announcement as he had first announced he was done with the sport a year ago but soon come out of retirement and returned to Buccaneer 40 days later.
He went on to say: "So, I really thank you guy so much to every single one of you for supporting me - My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors - I could go on for ever. There's too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream."
Brady is regarded as the NFL's one of the greatest quarterback of all time. He holds the record for passing touchdowns (649) and also a record for passing yards (89, 219) - He won six Super Bowl title with Patriot alone and his last was with Buccaneer.
