Premier League: Marcus Rashford Leads Man United To Thrash Leicester City
Leicester City had a difficult day at Old Trafford at which they lost 3-0 to Manchester United as Marcus Rashford scored a brace to guide the side through to victory.
United was faced with aggression from Leicester with Harvey Barney and Kelechi Iheanacho forcing superb saves from David de Gea early into game before a sensational curly cross from Bruno Fernandes would set Rashford up for a finish in the 25th minutes.
There was no fussing around from Rashford as he latched onto the ball from Fernandes' cross and steered the ball bottom right past Danny Ward to put United ahead. The second goal followed soon after the halftime break from Rashford striking home Fred's coss from close range.
Rashford's second goal was contested against but the referee upheld it as the VAR ruled the forward was not in offside position. Jadon Sancho completed the scoring with the third goal sweeping home Fernandes's pass.
United have only lost three of their previous 22 games in the Premier League and Rashford now brings his goal tally to 14 in the Premier League. He remains Erik Ten Hag's top goalscorer in this campaign.
