Premier League: Harry Kane Nets Club-Record Goal In Tottenham Win Against Man City
Tottenham had the best of their game against Manchester City winning 1-0 at White Hart Lane from the club-record goal scored by Harry Kane.
Though City enjoyed having a 10-man Spurs to play against after Christian Romero was sent off with three minutes remaining, they yet were unable to find the equaliser as Spurs made away with three points and closed the gap with Newcastle for a place in the top four of the table.
Harry delivered the needed lead for Spurs in the 15th minutes after Hojbjerg made a steal of the ball from Rico Lewis following a loose pass from Rodri and the Dane let a sliding pass to Harry, who smacked the ball to beat Ederson to the bottom right of the post.
Most of the remainder of the game withnessed a resurgent City whose closest effort was Riyad Mahrez's left volley that struck the woodwork. Ederson later saved Harry's attempt following a fastbreak inspired by Heung-min son.
Harry surpassed the previous record set for most goals by Jimmy Greaves when he scored his 267th club goal that brought his tally in the league to 200th Premier League goal for the club making him now the club's all-time biggest golascorer.
